Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·       Analysis of samples
·       Laboratory Accreditation
·       General Tasks
·       Client Services
·       Ad-Hoc
·       Occupational Health and System

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·         Ethical conduct in all endeavours
·         Team-oriented and reliable
·         Laboratory sample reception
·         Sorting out and labelling of samples
·         Soil sample preparation
·         Understanding of Soil Analysis techniques
·         Ability to work under pressure and adherence to strict deadlines
·         Demonstrate language proficiency to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU
 
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
·         Ability to receive and advise clients concerning laboratory samples
·         Good client-service orientation
·         Ability to work independently and as part of the team
·         Computer literacy (MS word, internet, emails and LIMS)

Minimum requirements

·       Grade 12
·       Diploma in soil sciences and technology - desirable
