Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching

·        Teaching undergraduate & postgraduate students.

Statistical Consultation

·        Conduction research and supervision of postgraduate students.

Research

·        Conduction research and supervision of postgraduate students.

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Latex, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

·        Matlab.

 

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Teamwork.

·        Organisational Skills.

·        Communication.

·        Leadership.

·        Trustworthiness & Ethics (Academic integrity). 

Minimum requirements

·        A Masters’ degree (NQF Level 9) in Mathematical Statistics or equivalent.

·        A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

·        A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in statistical consultation.

ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES:

·        Registered for PhD.

·        Membership with SASA.

 

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
