PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To fill a vacancy in the school.
Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teaching undergraduate modules
2. Teaching and Supervision: Postgraduate
3. Research publications
4. Study guide and material development
5. Support, membership and participation in research entity activities
6. Initiating and leading national and international research projects
7. Involvement in community engagement programmes
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· A PhD (NQF level 10) in Curriculum Studies or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience previously employed in the field of higher education.
· Proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
· Author of accredited articles/books/chapters in the field.
· Completed supervision of Master and Doctoral students (At least 3 Master’s and 1 PhD completed).
· Demonstration of initiative and leadership.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Have a proven record of presenting or attending relevant national and international conferences.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
· Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
· Good interpersonal relations.
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
