Teaching of undergraduate & postgraduate students, research and supervision of postgraduate students; organisational & management tasks
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. TEACHING AND LEARNING
· Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
2. RESEARCH
· Conducting research and providing supervision for postgraduate students
3. ORGANISATIONAL & MANAGEMENT TASKS
· Assisting with management tasks
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Good organisational skills
· Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Latex)
· Excellent leadership skills
· Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the various multilingual environments
· of the NWU.

Minimum requirements
· MSc in Applied Mathematics: Dynamical Systems, Financial Modelling, Financial Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics, PDEs, Fractional DEs (essential)
· PhD in Applied Mathematics: Dynamical Systems, Financial Modelling, Financial Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics, PDEs, Fractional DEs (desirable)
· 2 years’ teaching experience
· 2 years’ research experience - PhD registration (desirable)
· SAMS & AMS membership (desirable)
