Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
  •      Sport Scientist in the Centre for Health and Human Performance that forms part of the delivery service of the NWU Rugby Institute. 

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  •     A minimum of 1 year service delivery in sports science projects –university as well as school level.
  •     An honours degree in Sport Science (NQF level 7)
  •     Level 2 kinanthropometrist as well as a BLS certification.
 FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)
  •      Service provider in Sport Science but able to work in a multi-disciplinary field.
  •      Teaching and learning or rotation of Sport Science students.
  •      Worked with specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, SVT Vision Board, Smart Speed, Inbody, Force Plates, Vo2max, and Powerplates.
  •      Experience as Sport Scientist in Netball, Cricket and Tennis (Various Events).
  •      Experience in client evaluation, giving feedback verbally as well as in report format, including recommendations on program prescriptions.
  •    Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emails, online sharing, and drive systems as well as electronic diaries and calendars.
  •      Experience with cloud-based online database systems, monitoring systems and communication platforms (Zoom or MS teams).
