Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Comparative and International Education

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules

2.       Teaching and supervision:  Postgraduate M & PhD students

3.       Study guide and material development

4.       Personal research and support of research entity

5.       Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives

6.       Community service and social responsiveness

Minimum requirements

·        A PhD (NQF 10) in Comparative & International Education.

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching in relevant field in higher education.

·        Be an author/co-author of at least 5 research articles in accredited journals since 2020.

·        Completed supervision of at least 5 master’s and 1 doctoral student.

KEY FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

·        Leader of funded research projects.

·        Involvement in NRF – funded research projects.

·        Have a proven publication record for over 5 years.

·        Have a proven record of presenting and attending relevant national and international conference.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a team

REMUNERATION
