Introduction
The Food Safety and Mycotoxicology Research Group, North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa is seeking an outstanding and research driven candidate to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship in food Safety and Mycotoxicology.
Job description
The fellow will join a dynamic group of scientists and technicians who are working on the impact of climate change and variability on fungi and mycotoxins production and control in regard to food safety. as part of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal to achieve food security.
Minimum requirements
- Applicants must have graduated within the last four years with a PhD degree in Nutrition
- Food Biochemistry
- Biotechnology, food science or related field, preferably with Knowledge of toxigenic fungi and mycotoxins
- have experience with HPLC and LCMS/MS analysis and at least five research articles in reputable journals.
- Experience in data collection and analysis is essential. The expectations for this fellowship are publication productivity, co-supervision of post graduate students, and grant proposal writing.
