Job description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To teach at Undergraduate level and to actively engage in research
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching
- Teaching undergraduate modules.
- Study guide and material development.
Research
- Research publications.
- Support of research entity
Community Engagement
- Involvement in community engagement programmes.
Minimum requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF 10)
- A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with proven and comprehensive teaching experience at Primary/Secondary/ Higher Education level.
- Evidence of community engagement work or project.
- Completed supervision of Master’s degree student.
- A minimum of two published or accepted accredited publications.
Added Advantage:
- Previously employed in the field of higher education with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
- Functional experience in work-integrated learning.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
- Have a proven record of teaching.
Behavioural Competencies
- Team worker.
- Good interpersonal relations.
