Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To teach at Undergraduate level and to actively engage in research

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching
  • Teaching undergraduate modules.
  • Study guide and material development.
Research
  • Research publications.
  • Support of research entity
Community Engagement
  •  Involvement in community engagement programmes.

Minimum requirements

 Minimum Requirements:
  •  A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF 10)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with proven and comprehensive teaching experience at Primary/Secondary/ Higher Education level.
  • Evidence of community engagement work or project.
  • Completed supervision of Master’s degree student.
  • A minimum of two published or accepted accredited publications.
Added Advantage:
  • Previously employed in the field of higher education with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
  • Functional experience in work-integrated learning.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
  • Have a proven record of teaching.
Behavioural Competencies
  • Team worker.
  • Good interpersonal relations.
