1. Renewable Energy
The Renewable Energy research group within the School of Industrial Engineering is looking for qualified candidates to apply for a post-doctoral fellow position. We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to aid in the development of techno-econometric models in terms of energy mix incorporating different energy sources such as bioenergy, solar, wind, etc. The position will involve the application of feasibility studies as well as aid in the development, testing, and evaluation of the different energy processes and technologies through simulation modelling and/or pilot plant development.
Requirements & skills:
● Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
● Record of publications
● Excellent communications skills and team work ability.
2. Agriculture Research Group
A post-doctoral fellow position is available within the Industrial Engineering in Agriculture research group, within the School of Industrial Engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to aid in various industrial engineering research that is conducted in the agricultural sector. The position will involve research on the design of facility layouts, decision-support systems, process optimisations, Agri-lean systems, etc.
The prospective candidate must be able to independently conduct research, document the research and publish in high-impact journals.
Requirements & skills:
● PhD in Industrial Engineering or relevant
● Record of publications
● Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
