PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To make significant contributions to the teaching effort of a department, school, faculty, and other organisational unit or interdisciplinary area. The successful candidate is also expected to play a role in scholarship, research, and/or professional activities

Minimum requirements
· A PhD (NQF level 10) in Public Administration or Public Management.
EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience doing research in own studies and delivering conference papers and publications.
· Evidence of postgraduate supervision.
RECOMMENDATION:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching and learning on undergraduate and postgraduate level.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Advanced knowledge of teaching strategies, research methodology, programme and curriculum development.
· Commitment to the achievement of Subject Group’s and School’s strategic objectives.
· Excellent analytical abilities and innovative thinking, as well as ability to be self-driven.
· The ability to function well individually and as part of a team.
· Advanced level of organising skills, as well as the ability to work at a fast-moving pace and comply with stringent deadlines.
· A high level of professional and ethical conduct.
· Advanced administrative skills
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
