PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Temporary full time Junior Biokineticist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery:
- Services as Biokineticist in the CHHP that form part of 3rd income.
Teaching and Learning:
- Biokinetics protocol training to 3rd and 4th year student rotations.
Administration:
- Data capturing, reports, programs, feedback etc.
Minimum requirements
- An honours degree/4-year degree in Biokinetics (NQF level 8).
- Accreditation – current BLS certificate.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Biokinetics Independent Practitioner.

- Working and training students in the teaching, learning and training environment.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Service provider in Biokinetics being able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary field.
- Teaching and learning or rotation of Biokinetics students.
- Practical experience with specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, Grucox, ECG beneficial.
- Evaluation of clients, feedback reports and recommendations on program prescriptions.
- Exposure to a wide variety of patients: Cardiac, Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, HIV, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Wellness, Special Population Groups, Stroke.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emails, the internet and electronic diaries and calendars.
- Experience in online data basis, monitoring systems (Athlete Monitoring System) and communication platforms (Zoom) beneficial.

REMUNERATION
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
