Job description
The fellowship is a new initiative of the North-West University and aims to appoint a post-doctoral fellow to collaborate with South African National Research Foundation B-rated researchers to co-publish peer-reviewed contributions in their key research and innovation areas and to enhance the academic stature of both the fellow and the supervisor.
We warmly invite emerging researchers with an excellent track record who have recently completed a doctoral degree (in law or other relevant social science domains), and who are keen to pursue collaborative research with Prof. Kotzé and members of his extensive international network. The research focus is on aspects of earth system law; the newly proposed legal paradigm for the Anthropocene.
Details on this emerging concept can be found here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/earth-system-governance/special-issue/10ZQL018KHP
Although other collaborative opportunities and deliverables are possible, the emphasis will be on the following key outputs:
1. Produce at least four (4) peer-reviewed co-authored publications per year.
2. Co-supervise at least one master’s and one doctorate student per year.
3. Participate in grant writing and submit at least one grant proposal per year.
4. Participate in administration, report writing, workshop organisation and facilitation of other research activities as delegated.
