NORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (VANDERBIJLPARK CAMPUS) FACULTY OF EDUCATION SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES POSITION NUMBER: V000041 POSITION: SENIOR LECTURER PEROMNES GRADE: A7 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PERMANENT APPOINTMENT PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: An appointment of a Senior Lecturer to teach and supervise students in the School of Professional Studies.
Job description

1.      Research:

§Scholarly guidance, innovation, and initiation with regard to research in Education Management & Leadership.

2.      Teaching:

§  Teaching modules in Education Management & Leadership.

§  Supervising masters and PhD students.

3.      Community Engagement:

Involvement in community engagement programmes.

Minimum requirements

.         A PhD (NQF level 10) in Education Management and Leadership

·        A minimum of 5 years’ teaching and learning experience in higher education.

·        Author or co-author of research experience in Management and Leadership.

·        Supervised master’s students to completion.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

·        Member of funded research projects.

 

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Have a proven publication record.

·        Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.

·        Research skills, interpersonal or communication skills and computer literacy

 

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
