PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
• To render technical services within facilities maintenance and assisting the Section Head with identifying and repairing potholes and paving and other technical terrain related work.
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tarred surface and paving maintenance
• Daily maintenance of potholes and paving.
Driving
• Transporting of materials/staff to and from site
Occupational Health and Safety
• Implementing/assisting/managing OHS inspections and compliance.
Personal and Task Management
• Daily supervision of contract workers with related assigned tasks
Maintenace of Vehicle and Equipment
• Daily inspections of vehicle and other related equipment to ensure the safety.
Adhoc technical assignments
• Assisting maintenance department with other related functions.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

Minimum requirements
• Grade 10
• Code 10 Driver’s License (with PDP)
• 4 Years’ technical experience (operational level)
• 2 Year’s basic Personal Management experience
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
