KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Professor:
- A PhD (NQF 10) in Accountancy with Auditing as an area of specialisation.
- A minimum of 3year’ experience teaching Auditing at a tertiary institution.
Senior Lecturer:
- A Master of Commerce (NQF level 9) in Accountancy with Auditing as an area of specialisation.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience teaching Auditing at a tertiary institution.
- Must be registered with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) or South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as an AG(SA).
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- A working knowledge of essential technical competencies required in the field of Auditing.
- Knowledge of working with students, handling large classes, setting of assessments.
- Knowledge of the process of research and an eagerness to conduct research.
- Interest in community service.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Knowledge of Accounting-related software packages.
- Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
