PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
An appointment of a Senior Lecturer to teach and supervise students in the School of Professional Studies.
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Research:
§ Scholarly guidance, innovation and initiation with regard to research in Education Management & Leadership.
2. Teaching:
§ Teaching modules in Education Management & Leadership.
§ Supervising masters and PhD students.
3. Community Engagement:
Involvement in community engagement programmes.
Minimum requirements
· A PhD (NQF level 10) in Education Management and Leadership
· A minimum of 5 years’ teaching and learning experience in higher education.
· Author or co-author of research experience in Management and Leadership.
· Supervised master’s students to completion.
RECOMMENDATION:
· Member of funded research projects.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Have a proven publication record.
· Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.
· Research skills, interpersonal or communication skills and computer literacy
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
