Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
  • Services as Biokinetics’ in The CHHP that form part of 3rd income.
 Teaching And Learning
  • Biokinetics protocol training to 3rd and 4th year student rotations
 Administrative
  • Data capturing, monitoring, reports, programs and feedback etc.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • An honours degree or a 4 year degree in Biokinetics (NQF Level 8/7)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ service delivery experience in Biokinetics.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ teaching, learning and training experience in working and training of students.
  • Accredited in BLS (attach current certificate).
  • Registered with the HPCSA Biokinetics Independent Practitioner.
 ADDED ADVANTAGE:
  • A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9).
  • Legal Appointment with Malpractice Insurance.
  • Have membership with BASA.
 FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)
  • Service provider in Biokinetics being able to work in a multi-disciplinary field.
  • Teaching and learning or rotation of Biokkinetics students.
  • Practical experience with specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, SVT Vision Board, SmartSpeed, Inbody, Force Plates, Vo2max, EMS, Balance Trainer, Lung Functions, ECG, Biodex
  • Experience as Biokinetics in Netball, Cricket and Tennis ,Rugby, Hockey or Athletics (Various Events).
  • Experience in client evaluation, giving feedback verbally as well as in report format, including recommendations on program prescriptions.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of patients: Cardiac, Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, HIV, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Wellness, Special Population Groups, Stroke.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emails, online sharing, and drive systems as well as electronic diaries and calendars.
  • Experience with cloud based online database systems, monitoring systems and communication platforms (zoom OR MS teams).
