Job description

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Learner Support and Inclusive Education
  • Research publications and supervision of higher degree students in the field of Learner Support and Inclusive Education
  • Community engagement
  • Development of study guides and study material
  • Assist with Work Integrated Learning of students
  • Administration

Minimum requirements

Lecturer
  • MEd with a focus on Learner Support/Inclusive Education or equivalent
  • Professional Teacher’s Qualification

Senior Lecturer
  •  PhD in Education with a focus on Learner Support/Inclusive Education or equivalent
  • Professional Teacher’s Qualification 
  • Two accredited publication outputs
  • Successful supervision of one higher degree student

Recommendations:

  • Three years experience as a Lecturer in Higher Education
  • Three years experience of Learner Support/Inclusive Education practice as teacher or private practitioner


Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of teaching in different modes of delivery
  • Computer proficient
  • Language proficiency to function in a multilingual environment

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Good interpersonal relations
  • Be able to adhere to timetables and deadlines
