Job description
Key responsibilities:
• Teaching at all levels in higher education, and supervising master’s and PhD students.
• Study guide and study material development.
• Conducting own research, initiating, and planning research projects and provide support to staff in the research entity.
• Involvement in community engagement programmes.
Minimum requirements
- PhD in Education Law or associated field is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years’ proven and comprehensive teaching experience in higher education.
· Supervisor of completed masters and PhD studies.
· Author of a substantial number of quality accredited research articles/books/chapters in the field.
· Leading and participating in research projects.
· Have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
· Demonstrate leadership in the field.
· Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
· Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal relations.
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
