Job description

1.    Perform/Execute the T&L Technologies Help Desk Function.
2.    Support the use of supported T&L resources provided by CTL to academic staff and students.
3.    Staff and student development regarding the effective use OF T&L technologies.
4.    General administrative duties pertaining to CTL end-users support functions (help desk and resource management)
5.    Ad hoc requests
6.    Personal development
7.    Occupational health and safety (OHS) (no more than 5%)

Minimum requirements

  • Senior certificate (matric) and Computer Applications Technology is essential (CAT)
 
Experiences
  • One year experience of working in an office environments
  • Two years of experience in relevant work experience in client services environment.
  • One year experience in a content or LMS environment.
  • One year of proven experience in a content or LMS environment.
  • Proven experience in the use and support of Sakai.
 
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
  • National diploma and advanced certificate/ 3-year degree in Education/Communication studies/ IT.
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), e-Mail, Google applications
  • Six months experience in providing support to staff and students in the use of the LMS
  • How to communicate and engage with clients and staff
  • Proficiency in at least two official languages

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
