PURPOSE OF THE POSITION.
The appointed candidate will be expected to build prospective customer relationships through various customer services initiatives, execute a direct marketing campaign, study and career opportunities by different fields of study in the various faculties and organise activations and sponsorships on-and-off.
Job description
Marketing Communication (undergrad, postgrad, and open distance learning):
- Responsible for answering digital student enquiries about study opportunities in a professional and accurate way.
- CRM system and web.
- Assist manager in compiling and collecting marketing information.
- Keep up to date with the latest admission requirements and course offerings.
- Assist in updating marketing material and assistance with web updates, once or twice a year.
Service lines - emails, CRM, USSD, webforms, WhatsApp.
- Provide course and subject guidance to prospective students and parents digitally.
- Handling general inquiries, data inquiries, admission inquiries, academic record inquiries, graduation inquiries, remote learning inquiries, bursary, and finance inquiries.
- Liaising with the different faculties and relevant departments to be able to give accurate information to prospective students and parents.
Assist the relevant division Events and Promotions in planning and execution of events, marketing videos, etc.
- Assist the relevant division Events and Promotions in planning and execution of Virtual Open Days, virtual career days, facilitate virtual appointments with faculties, residences.
- Liaise with faculty advisors regarding course group videos.
- Responsible for virtual coordination where necessary.
- Liaise with relevant student committee members to put them in contact with prospective students on sessions on campus life, residence life and general inquiries.
- Assist with the organizing of events such as NWU Open Days, NWU Young Eagles Events, Campus Tours, NWU Sport series, and campus school visits.
- Events: source catering, select suitable venues, organizing, facilitate and support for sports, cultural and other relevant marketing, and sponsored events.
Ad Hoc Projects
- As assigned by Manager and/or Director.
- Attend all training and staff sessions.
Minimum requirements
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communication.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in organising skills in activations and promotional days.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in CRM customer service – answering of digital enquiries on different platforms.
Added Advantages/Preferences:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Education
- Three (3) years proven experience in marketing and event planning experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in knowledge to guide teachers, learners and parents on subject choices and degrees.
- Three (3) of experience in career guidance.
- Valid Driver's License.

- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email, Internet, CRM systems (customer relations management systems) WhatsApp.
- People and liaison skills.
- Administration and organising skills.
- Punctuality.
