Job description
Designing, changing, integrating and testing of software and application functions
· Improving and optimizing business processes and their effective performance
· Configure, implement, deploy, maintaining and support application solutions
· Writing unit and component tests and perform all type of testing
· Identifying and communicating technical problems, processes and solutions
· Preparing system and process documentation
· Collecting and documenting user requirements
· Assisting in the development of logical and physical specifications
· Part of the project teams delivering on project milestones
· Building relationship with business stakeholders
· Performing of DEVOPS activities

Minimum requirements
An appropriate bachelor’s degree at NQF level 7 in Information Technology or an equivalent IT qualification
and
3 years support and maintenance experience of enterprise applications (excluding internship & onboarding)
· Programming experience in the following environments: Java, Java Script, jQuery, SQL, JBPM, Hibernate, Bitbucket, Spring, Vaadin, Angular an advantage
· Knowledge of Apex, Jasper Reporting. PowerBI, ETL’s an advantage
· Knowledge of different databases such as Oracle, MYSQL and Microsoft SQL
· Knowledge working with J2EE application servers, e.g. JBoss, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat etc.
· Familiarity with ORM concepts and relational databases
· Familiarity in using IDEs: Eclipse, Intellij, NetBeans, JDeveloper etc
· Knowledge of Wiki mark-ups (preferably Confluence) and JIRA
· Knowledge of Agile/Scrum
· Knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, Restful Service, service-oriented architecture (SOA) an advantage
