Job description
To qualify as an internship placement, you must have completed your qualification (Degree or Postgraduate) and provide proof of same. Applicants in a debt repayment agreement for fees owed to the university may also apply. Preference will be given to North West University Graduates.
To work in the university environment, you must have an excellent ability to work with people and within groups, have good communication skills, be a good listener, and be interested in serving the university community.

BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The North West University is pleased to announce that recruitment for Interns in the specified disciplines of the Higher Education Employment Initiative will open on 01 March 2022 and close on 06 March 2022.
The Department of Higher Education and Training seeks to provide 3000 unemployed university graduates an employment and on the job training opportunities in the higher education sector, as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI)-Higher Education Employment Initiative (HEEI), which forms part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES), seeking to mitigate the devastating economic challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Youth between the ages of 18 and 35, who are currently unemployed, not studying full time, nor receiving any form of a government grant (including NSFAS) and young people living with disability and women, are eligible and encouraged to apply for this enriching experience. Candidates selected for placement will have an opportunity to receive on the job training on various skills that will equip them for future employment opportunities.
North West University has been assigned to make placement of 115 unemployed graduates.
All successful candidates will be placed on graduate Internships (in universities they graduated from) for six months, from 01 April 2022 to 30 September 2022, for the following available opportunities:
- B Degree Communication
- B Degree Videography
- BCom or BSc Degree specialised in Market Research or Data Analytics
- National Diploma/Degree in Digital Graphic
- BA in Journalism, Marketing or Corporate communication.
- BCom Industrial Psychology or any equivalent Behavioural Sciences studies
- BCom Marketing and Sales or BA Corporate Communications
- B Degree or B-Tech Public Relations, Communication, or related fields
- B Degree in Administration
A monthly stipend of R5000.00 will be paid to Successful candidates.
