JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Teaching undergraduate and BEdHons Modules
2.    Supervision of postgraduate students
3.    Research Publications
4.    Community Service
5.    Study Guide and Material Development
6.    Support of Research Entity
7.    Initiating and planning of strategic Research initiatives      

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
·         Qualification:

o   PhD in Educational Leadership and Management for Associate Professor and Professor positions

·         Experience:

o   Previously employed in Higher Education – Faculty/School of Education - (minimum of five years) for associate professor and professor positions
o   Proven teaching experience in Research Methodology for associate professor and professor positions
o   Proven research experience as author/co-author of at least five research articles since 2015 for professor and three research articles since 2015 for associate professor
o   At least 5 supervised completed masters and PhD studies for professor and at least 3 supervised completed masters studies (PhD at least in progress) for associate professor
o   Proven record of national (associate Prof) and international (Prof) acknowledgement and networking

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
o         Have proven Publication record
o         Proven Research skills
o         Have proven record of presenting/attending relevant National and International Conferences
o         Postgraduate supervision

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
o   Team worker
o   Good Interpersonal Relations
o   High level of professional and ethical conduct.
o   Good analytical abilities and innovative thinking, as well as the ability to be self-driven.
o   Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the various functionally multilingual environment f the NWU.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
