Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To assist in the running of an effective Admissions & Student Records Office and to ensure the effective implementation of the university’s admissions, registration and graduation policies and procedures

1.    Student Administration
 
2.    Student Advising Enquiries
 
3.    Adherence and implementation of rules and regulations
 
4.    Quality assurance
                                                                                                                                                                                                                           



Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 (essential)
  • years Diploma (NQF 6) in Administration (essential)
  • 2 years experience in Customer service(essential)
  • 2 years Academic Administrative experience in a tertiary institution(essential)
 
Functional & Technical competencies:
  • Knowledge and understanding of PQM
  • Student system
  • Relevant computer skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of University policies, procedure and processes
  • Knowledge of academic applications, admissions and registration processes
  • Report writing skills 

Behavioural competencies:
  • Time management
  • Good communication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Team leader and team player 

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
