Job description

e-Learning Support
 
·         Use ‘creative flair’ to design and develop graphics, video and online resources to support students, lecturers, UODL staff and other stakeholders of the UODL Teaching & Learning.
·         Initiate online solutions & projects that will improve e-Learning’s processes & operations.
·         Track and oversee projects/tasks fully from beginning to conclusion.
·         Collaborate with other UODL Teaching & Learning divisions to support/implement initiatives.
·         Assist with streamlining e-Learning processes and updating/maintaining process manuals.
·         Design and develop training material for students, lecturers and stakeholders.
·         Conduct training sessions for students, lecturers, UODL staff and other stakeholders.
·         Compile reports and presentations.
·         Provide support to all stakeholders.
·         Setup, monitor & facilitate IWB sessions.
·         Adhoc tasks and administration
 

Minimum requirements

·         NQF level 5 or an equivalent qualification.
·         One to three years’ experience in a computerised learning technology environment.
·         Good working experience using graphic design and video development/design software.
·         Experience facilitating training sessions.
·         Effective content design & development for training, online resources, brochures, e-Guides and websites (Provide Portfolio).
·         Website design & development experience (content, layout and graphics).

ADDITIONAL
·         An additional technical and/or academic qualification will serve as a recommendation.
·         Concept Development and Reporting.
·         Stakeholder support and management experience.
 
 
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·         Graphic Design
·         Website Design
·         Video Design & Development
·         Content Design & Management
·         Experience working with Learner Management Systems
·         Advanced computer skills: MS Office, software, online platforms and NWU software/platforms.
·         Data mining
·         Knowledge about e-authoring and tools associated with it
·         End-User support within technology environment.
·         Manage and support electronic technology within UODL Teaching & Learning.
·         Knowledge about UODL Teaching & Learning processes and operations.

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·         Ability to initiate, oversee and implement projects/initiatives with limited supervision.
·         Good business and technical writing skills
·         Good communication skills
·         Exceptional stakeholder support.
·         Able to function effectively and in a team.
·         Demonstrate language skills to function optimally within the bilingual environment of the NWU.
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
