Job description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of rigorous research and critical inquiry among our students while also contributing to managing postgraduate programmes and supervising internships.

3. Academic Leadership and Service:
- Programme Management

- Internship Supervision
- Thesis and Dissertation Examination
- Research Article Review
- Committee Participation and Membership
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Senior Lecturer:
- A PhD (NQF level 10) in Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the particular subject group.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
· Associate Professor:
- A PhD (NQF level 10) in Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in in the particular subject group.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
· Senior Lecturer:
- A minimum of 1 year’ experience in post graduate supervision.
- Sound practical experience to lead students in work integrated learning.
· Associate Professor:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience scholarly and scientific achievement of high standing.
- Sound practical experience to lead students in work integrated learning.
· Membership with the SIOPSA and SABPP.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Computer and digital literacy.
· Proficiency in data analysis software, at least M Plus/R Studio and AtlasTi.
· Strong planning, administrative and organisational skills.
· Knowledge of the appropriate assessment theory and practice to enhance student performance.
· Knowledge of modern platforms to enhance the ongoing changing of the learning and collaboration environment.
· Commensurate research outputs.
· Established and proven research network.
· Knowledge of post-graduate research processes and systems.
· Good analytical abilities and innovative thinking, as well as ability to be self-driven.
· The ability to solve problems independently.
· A high level of professional and ethical conduct.
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
