Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
A Senior Lecturer is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution, and to carry out activities to maintain and develop his/her professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline. A senior lecturer is expected to make contributions in research and community engagement.

Minimum requirements

  • A SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA qualification PLUS a Master’s degree in Accountancy (NQF Level 9) or a PhD (NQF level 10) in Accountancy.
  • Professional accreditation/s with SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA.
  • Evidence of supervision or publications.
  • A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in an Accounting subject group.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  •  Accounting
  •  Auditing
  •  Taxation
  •   Financial Management
  •   Mdac
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Writing skills.
  •  Effective communication skills.
REMUNERATION
