Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As a Coordinator, the representative will be responsible for Co-ordinating Centre for Translation (CTRANS) administrative tasks, School of Languages and CTRANS Financial management, School of languages Strategic project accounting and monitoring, administration of project initiatives, Report collation.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Financial Management:
  • CTRANS and School of Languages project Finance transactions i.e. KFS invoicing, creation of vendors etc.
2.    Strategic Initiative Monitoring and Administration:
  • School of Languages Strategic project administration and financial tracking. Report drafting and collation.
3.    Co-ordination and Administration:
  • CTRANS Administration, co-ordination of school of languages projects.

Minimum requirements

·         A bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Administration / Human Resources Management or any related field of study.
·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a senior administrative personnel.
·         A minimum of 3 years' experience in financial management and budgeting.
·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience in faculty or school administration.
 
RECOMMENDATION:
·         An advanced diploma (NQF level 6) in Administration.
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·         Good financial management skills.
·         Good project/workshop planning skills.
·         Excellent administrative skills.
·         Excellent Report Writing skills.
·         Excellent MS package skills.
·         Good skills in strategic initiatives’ coordination..
 
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
·         Excellent team player.
·         Exceptional interpersonal relationships with fellow staff members.
·         Very good skills in conflict resolution and the management of conflicts.
 
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
