PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
2. Community Engagement
3. Study guide / Mod Development
4. Support of research entity
5. Conducting own research
Minimum requirements
LECTURER:
· A MEd degree (NQF 9) in Curriculum Studies.
· A minimum of three (3) years’ teaching experience in a schooling context.
JUNIOR LECTURER:
· An honours degree (NQF 8) in Education (Curriculum Studies)
· A minimum of one (1) year teaching experience in a schooling context.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
· Proven teaching record at school level
· Research potential
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
· Team player
· Good Interpersonal Relations
REMUNERATION
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy
guidelines.
