Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To manage student enquiries on student accounts and bursaries, and to assist with private accommodation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer student enquiries:
  • Assist with student enquiries for student accounts and bursaries.
Evaluation of Lease Agreements:
  • Evaluation of lease agreement submissions of all bursary students.
Ad hoc requests:
  • Assist with all reasonable and ad hoc tasks that might surface in the line of duty in the MC Student Accounts and Bursaries Department.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS):
  • Under health and safety law, each employee has the duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by the former’s actions or omissions at work. Therefore, each employee must co-operate with management, OHS officials and colleagues to help everyone meet their legal requirements, whilst upholding and maintaining general occupational health and safety standards and practices.

Minimum requirements

  • A Grade 12 (NQF level 4) with Accounting subject. 
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ financial experience on accounts.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ NWU VSS and SBL System experience.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Numerical competent and accurate with attention to detail.
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet and E-mail).
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to handle pressure during registration periods.
  • Punctual.
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Independent functioning without close supervision.
  • Client Service Orientation.
  • Critical thinking and Problem Solving.
  • Time Management.
  
REMUNERATION
