PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Temporary full time Sport Scientist.
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
- Services as Sport Scientist in The CHHP that form part off 3rd income.
Teaching And Learning
- Sport Science protocol training to students.
Management
- Project leader for service level agreements: certain aspects of netball, cricket and tennis services (NWU services along with NW schools).
Administrative
- AMS and data capturing, monitoring, reports, programs and feedback etc.
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4-5 years service delivery sport science projects –university as well as school level.
- Minimum of 4-5 years teaching, learning and training in working with students.
- Level II Kinanthropometrist as well as BLS certification.
FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)
- Service provider in Sport Science but able to work in a multi-disciplinary field.
- Teaching and learning or rotation of Sport Science students.
- Worked with specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, SVT Vision Board, SmartSpeed, Inbody, Force Plates, Vo2max, Powerplates.
- Experience as Sport Scientist in Netball, Cricket and Tennis (Various Events).
- Experience in client evaluation, giving feedback verbally as well as in report format, including recommendations on program prescriptions.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emails, online sharing, and drive systems as well as electronic diaries and calendars.
- Experience with cloud based online database systems, monitoring systems and communication platforms (zoom OR MS teams).
