Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To serve customers with dignity and respect and to ensure proper prices and charged to customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Management of transactions
  • Ring up transactions on the Varsity Vending Point of Sale by following in-house procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy of transactions by working carefully.
 
2.    Cash-Ups
  • Do cash-ups after each shift by following in-house cash-up procedures.
 
3.    Receipts
  • Issue receipts to customers and collect the payment as per in house procedure.
 
4.    Complaints
  • Record and attend to complains and give feedback to your supervisor.
  • Follow the in-house procedures on customer returns.

5.    Retail Area
  • Clean shelves and general surface in the retail area, as well as maintain stock levels on shelves as indicated to you by your Supervisor and Store Manager.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF 4).
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in the retail environment as a Cashier.

  • Tertiary Qualification in a related field.
