Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To assist with the laboratory with ISO 17025 accreditation

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       ISO administration

2.       Laboratory inspection for ISO system

3.       General Tasks

4.       Occupational Health and System

Minimum requirements

  • Matric certificate with Maths and Sciences

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Chemistry or related field

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year ISO 17025 laboratory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge, understanding and implementation of the ISO 17025 standard.
  • Ability to read and write procedures as required by the ISO 17025 standard.
  • Working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Computer literacy (MS word, internet, emails and LIMS)
  • Problem solving

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
