Job description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide leadership and management in terms of quality enhancement in the Faculty of Education across the three campuses.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality enhancement in Teaching and Learning:
- Assist with functioning of Teaching and Learning Committee, Faculty Management Committee and Faculty Board.
- Co-ordinate quality assurance for IPE’s, EPE’s and CHE reviews.
- Promote excellence in Teaching and Learning
Support for Research and Innovation
- Support to Research Directors in terms of IPE’s and EPE’s for M. and PhD and maintain the quality manual for R& I.
Support for Community Engagement
- Assist with quality enhancement activities in CE and update and maintain quality manual for CE
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 (NQF 4).
- A bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field (NQF 7).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration within a higher education environment.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- A minimum of 2 years’ quality enhancement experience within a higher education environment.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
- Co-ordinate quality assurance for IPE’s, EPE’s and CHE reviews.
- Support to Teaching and Learning Committee, Faculty Management Committee and Faculty Board Committee.
- Skilled in report administration, development and communicating.
- Coordinate and guide the Faculty Quality Enhancement Plan.
- Liaise with the NWU Quality Enhancement office.
- High level of technological skills.
Behavioural Competencies
- Effective liaison with staff at all levels of the NWU.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform well individually and in a team..
