PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Full time Human Movement Scientist. (Half day).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery:
- Services as Sport Scientist in the CHHP that form part of 3rd income.
Teaching and Learning:
- Sport Science protocol training to students.
Management:
- Project Co-Leader for service level agreements: Certain aspects of rugby services, soccer services as well as athletics (mainly NWU services along with NW schools).
Administration:
- AMS data capturing, monitoring, reports, programs and feedback.
Minimum requirements
- An honours degree in Human Movement Science (NQF level 8).
- Level 1 Kinanthropometrist BLS certification.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in client service delivery (Human Movement Science projects – university or at school level).
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in teaching, learning, and training (working with students/learners).
ADDED ADVANTAGE & RECOMMENDATION:
- An honours degree in Sport Science (NQF level 8)
- Level 1 Kinanthropometrist BLS certification.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Service provider in Sport Science but able to work in a multi – disciplinary field.
- Teaching and learning or rotation of Sport Science students.
- Worked with some specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, SVT Vision Board, SmartSpeed, Inbody, Force Plates, Vo2max, Powerplates, Microgate.
- Experience as Human Movement Scientist in Rugby, Soccer and/or Athletics (Various Events).
- Experience in Client evaluation, giving feedback verbally as well as in report format, including recommendations on program prescriptions.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emails, online sharing, and drive systems as well as electronic diaries and calendars.
- Experience with cloud based online database systems, monitoring systems and communication platforms (zoom OR MS teams).

REMUNERATION
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
