PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
An appointment of Lecturer /Senior Lecturer to be teaching and supervising students in the subject group Curriculum Studies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teaching and Learning:
- Teaching undergraduate/postgraduate modules in Curriculum studies.
- Supervision of postgraduate students.
- Study guide and material development.
2. Research:
- Research publications
- Support to research entity.
- Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.
3. Community Engagement:
- WIL/T-Prac involvement
- Community service
Minimum requirements
· Senior Lecturer:
- A PhD (NQF level 10) in Curriculum Studies.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in higher education.
- Author or Co-author of research outputs.
- Supervised master students to completion.
- Community engagement experience.
· Lecturer:
- A Master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Curriculum Studies.-
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in higher education.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
· Lecturer:
- Author or Co-author of research outputs.
- Supervised master students to completion.
- Community engagement experience.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Knowledge of and strengths in teaching and learning

REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
