JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing and driving the continuous updating of all support service units’ quality manuals.
- Continuously capacitate all stakeholders regarding business process development the documenting and (quality) measurement thereof.
- Develop, manage, drive and maintain all review processes (e.g. Self-Evaluation and Peer Evaluations) linked to Support Services Quality (SSQ)
- Manage, monitor and or report on the closure of quality gaps (deficiencies) as identified during reviews (e.g. self-evaluations, peer evaluations, CHE Audits/ Reviews, Statutory Audits/Reviews etc.).
- Document, analyse and report on all quality related deficiencies within the context of the core business of the University and the risk management thereof.
Minimum requirements
- An honours degree/or equivalent (NQF level 8) in any applicable field.
- A minimum of five (5) years' relevant administrative experience in a higher education environment.
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES:
- A minimum of three (3) years’ quality related experience in a higher education environment.
- A postgraduate diploma (NQF level 8) in General Management.
- A certificate (NQF level 5) in Project Management.
- Membership with SAAIR or other relevant professional bodies.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to use intra and internet.
- Ability to apply project management principles/ general management (Planning, Organising, Leadership, Control).
- Ability to write scientific reports.
- Good administrator and planner.
- Ability to analyse data retrieved from review reports and transform into business intelligence.
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research within organisational context (in support of quality).
- Ability to facilitate learning within complex environments (including workshops).
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the various functionally multilingual environments of the NWU.
- Ability to initiate and facilitate collaboration between people and entities (units, departments, etc.).
- Ability to handle pressure.
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
