Job description

The Business School has a 3-year position for a post-doctoral researcher to work on research projects related to the fields of Business Administration, General Management, Entrepreneurship, Organisational Behaviour, Corporate Governance,  Operations and or Digital Science in Business. The appointed applicants will be based at the Potchefstroom Campus to increase research outputs in the mentioned focus areas. The position can be extended for another 2 years if the scholarly output is exceptional. NWU offers a stimulating working environment and the successful applicant will be part of a strong research team of the North West University Business School.

Minimum requirements

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in article publications and perform the function of a critical reader of MBA and PhD student proposals.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship, Organisational Behaviour, Corporate Governance, Operations, Strategy and or Digital Science in the field of Business (or related discipline) obtained in the last 5 years. 
  • Demonstrate experience in publications on any of the above-mentioned focused areas of research.
  • Proven track record of publications in top quality Journals (DHET Accredited Journals).
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

A panel of researchers will remotely interview applicants who adhere to the criteria. The duration of the position is two years (possible extension for an additional year), beginning as soon as possible  (or based on agreement).

  • Copy of PhD Thesis.
  • Three latest published articles (peer-reviewed in reputable journals).
