Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Reconciliations of bank accounts

·        Reconciliation of all major bank deposit accounts: ABSA Online, ABSA Student & Vending, FNB Namibia and FNB Student & Vending.

Enquiry administration

·        Addressing general inquiries through telephone, email and in person at the counter.

·        Proactively managing the generic email account.

·        Ensuring timely responses to inquiries within 48- hour timeframe.

Identifying of unallocated accounts

·        Identifying of unallocated payments in the reconciliation of banks daily.

Ad Hoc tasks

·        Assisting with ad hoc tasks in the line of duty as requested by the line manager.

 

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Accuracy.

·        Attention to detail.

·        Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail).

·        Advanced Proficiency in Excel.

·        Numeric skills.

·        Punctual.

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Ability to function in a team as well as independently.

·        Time management and ability to work under pressure.

·        Communication skills.

Minimum requirements

·        Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).

·        A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with reconciliations.

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
