PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies in Education for the subject group, Education Management & Leadership on the Potchefstroom Campus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
- Supervision of MEd and PhD students.
- Research publications.
- Community service.
- Study guide and material development.
- Active involvement in research entity.
- Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.
Minimum requirements
Minimum requirements (Associate Professor)
- A PhD (NQF 10) in Education Management & Leadership.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ lecturing experience in a higher education environment.
- A record of at least 5 authored/co-authored research articles, published in accredited journals since 2022.
- Successfully supervised a minimum of 3 master’s students to completion and involvement in the supervision of at least 1 PhD student.
- Proof of active involvement in community engagement project(s).
- Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.
- Proven international collaboration.
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES (Associate Professor):
- Involvement in NRF – funded research projects.
- NRF rating

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Team worker.
- Good interpersonal relations
REMUNERATION: The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
