Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Financial Administration
 
·       Support financial functions in the IWMS system
·       Process invoices
·       Procurement processing
·       Creating purchase orders on KFS
·       Maintain IWMS info
 
General Administration
·       General office administration
·       Manage/ordering stationary
·       Record Management
·       Maintaining OHS documentation
·       Organising and scheduling departmental meetings
·       Compiling documents/reports
·       Record-keeping
 
Service desk support
 
·       Assist with the telephonic reporting and of maintenance breakdowns on the systems
·       Assist with inquiries
·       Assist with general support with telephone or walk-in inquiries
·       Submitting maintenance requests on the IWMS Help desk number on behalf of staff, students, external/internal role players
 
Stakeholder communication
·       General communications to internal and external stakeholders regarding service delivery issues
 
Asset Controller
·       Keeping record and updating KFS Asset Register for department
 
OHS
·       Adhere to all OHS regulations

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·       Proficient computer skills, Office 365, financial systems such as Kuali
 
·       Minute taking
·       Office Management
·       Strong verbal and written communication skills
·       Payments and procurement

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·       Time management
·       Be able to work with deadlines
·       Accurate, attention to detail
·       Enthusiastic team player, positive 

Minimum requirements

•       Higher Certificate (NQF level 5) in Finance
•       3 Years’ financial experience with regards to purchasing and payments 

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
