PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Education Management & Leadership on the Vanderbijlpark Campus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching undergraduate modules.
- Teaching and supervision: Postgraduate.
- Research publications.
- Community service.
- Study guide and material development.
- Support of research entity.
- Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.
Minimum requirements
- A PhD (NQF level 10) in Education Management and Leadership.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ lecturing experience in a higher education environment.
- Applicants must in be possession of a doctorate in an appropriate field of study (PhD) in Education Management & Leadership.
- A record of at least 5 authored/co-authored research articles in accredited journals since 2021.
- Applicants must have proven teaching experience in research methodology.
- Involvement in supervision of a minimum of 3 Master’s students and 1 PhD student.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Applicants must be involved in NRF – funded research projects.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Have a proven publication record – specifically over the past 5 years.
- Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.
- Have proven record of postgraduate supervision.
- Have proven record of community engagement.
- Experience of working in a higher education context.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Team worker.
- Good interpersonal relations.
- Research skills.
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
