PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To execute a direct marketing campaign, focusing on bringing prospective students to the relevant campus to experience the value proposition (student experience, environment) and study and career opportunities by different fields of study in the various faculties. Organising activations and sponsorships on- and off-campuses to grab the attention of prospective students (undergraduate, post graduate and distance learning). To build prospective customer relationships through various customer services initiatives i.e., assist with additional information needs during the application process and create a sense of belonging and start creating brand loyalty.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Activations and Sponsorships
- Assist Walk in clients.
- Execution of Ad hoc promotional opportunities
- Organise and execute events (leadership, cultural, price giving ceremonies as a recruitment and awareness tools.
- Organise promotional days on campus i.e., open days, faculty days, etc. for prospective students.
- Distribution and administration of marketing material
- Assist with Internal branding projects
- Support brand campaigns.
Campus Visits
- Organise campus and faculty visits for individuals and groups so that they can gather information about the University, student life and study opportunities.
Marketing Communication (undergraduate, postgraduate, and open distance learning).
- Responsible for answering digital student enquiries about study opportunities in a professional and accurate way.
- CRM system and web.
- Assist manager in compiling and collecting marketing information.
- Keep up to date with the latest admission requirements and course offerings.
Customer Service
- Work with relevant departments and faculties to improve and adopt services for prospective students.
Ad Hoc Projects
- As assigned by Manager and/or Director
- Attend all training and staff sessions.
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant B degree (NQF 7). (Essential)
- B degree in Marketing or Education (Desirable)
- Three years proven marketing and event planning experience (Desirable)
- Three years organisation skills in activations and promotions days (Essential)
- Three years knowledge of guiding teachers, learners and parents on subject choices and degrees. (Desirable)
- Three years’ experience in career guidance. (Desirable)
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email, Internet, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp
- People and liaison skills
- Administration and organising skills
- Punctuality
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment
- Ability to win the trust of prospective students, faculties, and other role-players.
- Valid Driver’s License.
