Introduction
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Ensuring the day to day running of the system regarding the processing of all test-, assignment- and examination marks and assisting academic staff members with system related matters. Receiving, storage and safe keeping of assessment question papers and materials. Allocation of venues on university venue booking platform and training users.
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Planning and coordinating of the administration of tests and examinations.
· Plan, co-ordinate and control all operational actions regarding the tests and examination processes, including the receiving, copying and safekeeping of test- and examination papers.
2. Marks processing.
· Co-ordinate marks processing system, report errors, finalize marks on system, train users on the marks processing system.
3. Assessment.
· Plan, co-ordinate, loading of invigilator contracts and manage invigilators and their tasks. Assist in preparing assessment upload files on Varsite.
· Allocating of students per venue during all official assessment periods.
4. Venue Bookings.
· Allocation of venues and training of users on venue booking system.
· Ensuring all venues adhere to assessment protocols.
5. Ad Hoc Task.
· Any other task assigned by section head.
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.

Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Diploma NQF (6)
· Advanced Certificate NQF (5)
· Two years (2) of appropriate experience in administrative systems.
· Two years (2) of experience in examination rules, securities, and processes.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge and Skills):
· In depth knowledge of the VSS System, IWMS venue booking systems, or another system utilised by other tertiary institutions for processing of marks and venue bookings.
· Planning and report writing skills.
· Excellent knowledge of processes pertaining to assessments and invigilation.
