Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Teaching

·        Teaching and undergraduate and postgraduate students

 

Research

·        Conduction research and supervision of postgraduate students

 

Organisational and management tasks

·        Assist with management tasks

 

 

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Latex, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·        Matlalab

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

·        Teamwork

·        Organisational Skills

·        Communication

·        Leadership

·        Trustworthiness & Ethics (Academic integrity)

Minimum requirements

·        A Master’s (NQF Level 9) in Pure Mathematics: Algebra, Typology and Analysis

·        A Minimum of 2 years’ undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience

ADDED ADVANTAGES:

·        A PhD (NQF Level 10) in Pure Mathematics: Algebra, Typology and Analysis

·        Membership with SAMS and AMS

·        PhD

REMUNERATION:

 

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
