Job description
- Analysis business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable, operable designs to develop and deploy effective integration packages.
- Investigates and recommends demand forecast for integration services.
- Conducts research to keep abreast on new technologies and standards.
- Evaluates and recommends new technology opportunities and best practices that will impact solution integration and data transformation.
- Leads, define and develop well-designed, testable, reusable and efficient system integration across business areas using best-practices and industry standards.
- Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships and trends.
- Implements data structures using best practices in data modelling. Performs data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external systems. Identifies data-quality issues and data governance.
- Ensures documentation of and integration components is created and maintained.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and development teams to align with the integration and data transformation needs.
- Tracks and reports on integration issues in a timely manner.
- Guides and mentors the technical team improving technical awareness, depth and use of integration and data transforming technology across the business.
- Serves as project team member for projects of medium to large in scope and high complexity performing integration and data activities according to approved methodologies, tools and standards.
- Collaborate and function as a team member building relationships across multi business areas.
- Produces comprehensive and applicable technical documentation throughout the lifecycle addressing development protocols, technical specification, design, standards and ensuring that these are kept up -to-date.
- Conducts post implementation reviews.
- Provides data that is accurate, congruent and reliable.
- Establishes acceptance criteria and effective testing plans and methods to satisfy data quality and auditability of any solution implemented.
- Provides input to the development of data/information quality metrics.
- Conducts reviews ensuring quality according to approved requirements, standards and methodologies
- Performs effective end-to-end integration testing ensuring the implemented solutions meets the business requirements, satisfy data quality and auditability.
- Establishes acceptance criteria for integration and performance tests and validates test results during testing cycle.
- Communicates test results to business stakeholders and development team.
- Monitor integration activities after implementation and communicates any discrepancies.
- Tracks, monitors and analysis integration performance and production issues.
- Troubleshoots, debug reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies and adjust data models and/or reports.
- Ensures sustainability and stability to the production environments.
- Communicates results, problems and solution recommendations to business stakeholder, support and development teams. Keeps the relevant documentation up-to-date
Minimum requirements
REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
