Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Ensure all projects are resourced and complete on time and within budget.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Project formation:

  • Project schedule, budget, resources.

2.     Project execution and closure:

  • Reporting and variation management.

3.     Project Audit:

  • Audit outcomes.

4.     Team:

  • Team contribution.

Minimum requirements

·          A bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Engineering.

·          A minimum of 6 years' experience in project management.

RECOMMENDATION / ADDED ADVANTAGE:

·          Membership with the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA).

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·          Project budgets.

·          Project resource/ time / budget management.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

·          Organised.

·          Team player.

 

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
