Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Administrative tasks
·       Various administrative and financial tasks which include the processing of invoices and month end stocktakes.
Control and management
·       Apply access control and stock control in the kitchen. Receive and issuing of all stock.
 
Personal development

·       Development of the own person and staying abreast of new technology.
 
Liaison
 
·       Liaison with suppliers, clients, and students.
 
Personnel management
 
·       Effective personnel management which includes training, delegation, and motivation of personnel.

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·       Good stock control and accounting and numerical skills.
·       The ability to work with financial systems.
·       The ability to process creditors invoices, place orders and check quantities and prices accurately.
·       Knowledge regarding occupational health and safety procedures.
·       Good organising, control, and planning skills.
·       Computer literacy in MS Office as well as email and internet.
 
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·       Good communication skills, a client service orientation and liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
·       The ability to function as part of a team and work under pressure.
·       Good time management skills.

Minimum requirements

·       Grade 12 (NQF level 4)
·       A minimum of 1 year experience in financial and office administration.
·       Knowledge of financial systems as well as stock control.

REMUNERATION:
 
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
