Job description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The candidate will be responsible for lecturing undergraduate Mathematics or Applied Mathematics modules in the Extended programmes; and can also be expected to be involved in the development of new modules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching
- Teaching of undergraduate students.
Research
- PhD Studies.
Management Support
- Assistance with the management of the Subject Group.
Minimum requirements
- A Masters’ degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics (NQF level 9).
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in teaching and tutoring undergraduate students.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- A PGCE in Mathematics (NQF level 7).
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Latex, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Matlab.
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
